Fiona Glancy, Owner/Director
Fiona Glancy is the Managing Director of Superior Traffic Management (STM) — Brisbane’s leading traffic management solutions provider. Fiona has grown Superior Traffic Management from a humble start-up to Brisbane’s preferred traffic solutions delivery partner.
Under Fiona’s leadership, Superior Traffic Management has successfully delivered key traffic solutions on major critical infrastructure projects in high profile locations balancing the needs of stake holders such as Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the Cultural Centre Precinct working group, Brisbane City Council, Transport for Brisbane, Brisbane Metro Project, Urban Utilities and the Queensland Police Service, ensuring safe and clear temporary traffic management in both short and long term arrangements.
Fiona has had over twenty years’ experience in strategic management, governance and project management. With her vast knowledge in team management combined with outstanding communication skills, Fiona is a unique and valuable asset to STM. The personal relationships Fiona has built throughout 13 years have seen STM integrated as a key delivery partner with clients to provide services to the building, construction and utilities industries. Due to the good rapport built by Fiona, STM still has clients from over 12 years ago and these organisations and their people continue to be strong supporters of STM. This leads to STM not only gaining continuous business but also new business through referrals.
Fiona is responsible for team management and workflow efficiency at STM by ensuring resources are strategically deployed and processes are adhered to. Fiona leverages on her administrative and recruitment industry experience to manage the company’s cash flow, oversee debtors and build a company culture based on ethical behaviour. Fiona’s leadership style is trust-driven and empowering, allowing STM staff to use their strengths and skills to deliver their best.

Rebecca Pop, Operations Manager
Rebecca Pop is the Operations Manager of the Superior Traffic Management (STM) team. With over 18 years of experience in team management, work scheduling and business administration, Rebecca ensures the smooth operation of 152 on-site staff and 11 office staff members as well as contractors and projects.
Rebecca’s training and experience in operating complex systems has been a key driver in ensuring the optimal maintenance of the company’s 50 traffic control vehicle fleet. Rebecca also makes sure STM systems including 4 main software systems are updated regularly to ensure efficiency.
Continuous improvement is at the very core of Rebecca’s personal and professional values. She has demonstrated her thirst for knowledge through various training programs over 20 years from leadership and management to digital media technologies.
Rebecca’s creative approach has also been valuable in establishing STM as Brisbane’s leading traffic solutions delivery partner. Through her professional communication style, STM has been able to build a positive rapport with clients, stakeholders and at the same time develop a positive working culture for the organisation. Douglas Pettigrew, Lead Planning & Compliance Officer
Douglas has been in the Traffic Management industry for over 10 years. He started off as a Leading Hand Traffic Controller and over the years he has extended his skill and knowledge of the industry significantly. He is now a qualified Traffic Management Designer.
Douglas has experience in designing and managing large projects and events involving impacts and management of the highest volume cycleway within Queensland, closures of significant bus & traffic routes, formulation of traffic management procedures, design, and training of staff.
He has also been involved in the auditing of traffic management implementation for Southern Downs Regional Council and Optus Queensland Operations.
He is highly skilled and trained in the industry and holds the following qualifications : TAETAE401110 Cert IV in Training and Assessment, 30830864QLD Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes, RIIRIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management, RIIWHS205D Implement Traffic Management, HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, Manual Handling in the Workplace, Queensland Department Main Roads Barrier Design, Queensland Department Main Roads Open Traffic Management Design, Construction Industry Safety Induction White Card and PWZTMP Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan (NSW).
Karen Mullaly, Traffic Supervisor & Planning Coordinator
Karen spent most of her working life in the hospitality industry. In 2008 she decided she’d had enough of dealing with the drunks and gamblers and took on a job in traffic control. She progressed to a ute driver, and never looked back. Over the last 12 years she worked her way up through the
ranks and loves her job. She has worked on some big projects including Gateway upgrade, Airport roundabout upgrade and the airport tunnels just to name a few.
She holds her Traffic Control Licence, Traffic Management Implementation certificate and is Traffic Management Design Open qualified. She is also Drug and Alcohol testing certified.
John Watson, Traffic Supervisor & Planning Coordinator
John has worked in the Traffic Control industry for over 9 years. Starting on the road as a traffic controller, moving up from Team Leader on Major Projects to Operations Supervisor to Operations Manager. He is now an STM Traffic Supervisor and Planning Coordinator. He is passionate about keeping our sites safe.
He holds his Traffic Control Licence, Traffic Management Implementation certificate and is Traffic Management Design Open qualified. He is also Drug and Alcohol testing certified.
Donna Shannon, Operations Coordinator/Health & Safety Officer
Donna has worked in the civil construction industry for 12 years. Starting on the road as a traffic controller and moving on to administrative positions she is now Superior Traffic Managements Health and Safety Officer as well as monitoring all permit applications and renewals. She currently holds a Diploma in WHS, RTW Coordinator certificate, and Internal Auditor Certificate. She is also really really really good looking and funny.
Teagan McPhail, Accounts Officer
Teagan joined STM in June 2019. She has 16 years of accounts experience and started her career in the steel manufacturing industry. Her current role varies from the most important tasks of Payroll and Invoicing to opening credit accounts for our customers and providing administrative support to our team in the field.
Jessica Brazao, Administration Assistant
Jess started working for STM in March 2019 as a full-time admin assistant. In 2020 she moved to part time so she could study design. She’s learnt a lot about traffic management in her time with STM.
