Owner & Director
Fiona Glancy is the founder and Managing Director of Superior Traffic Management (STM), Dangerous Goods Services and Boss Training Institute — three businesses built on a shared commitment to safety, professionalism and practical industry expertise.
Fiona grew STM from a two-vehicle start-up into one of Brisbane’s most trusted traffic management providers, with a fleet of 60 vehicles and a team of approximately 140 staff. Over nearly 18 years, she has led the delivery of traffic management solutions on some of Queensland’s most significant infrastructure projects, including the Brisbane Metro, Urban Utilities, and works in and around the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the Cultural Centre Precinct — balancing the needs of stakeholders including Brisbane City Council, Transport for Brisbane and the Queensland Police Service.
With over two decades of experience in strategic management, governance and project management, Fiona brings a rare combination of operational depth and people-first leadership to everything she does. Her trust-driven approach has earned STM long-standing client relationships, with many organisations continuing to partner with STM since the early days of the business — a testament to the loyalty Fiona has built through nearly 18 years of consistent, quality service. Much of STM’s growth continues to be driven by referrals from clients who value the reliability and professionalism of the team.
Recognising the need to bring high-quality, in-house training to STM’s own workforce, Fiona acquired Dangerous Goods Services — a nationally recognised training provider that had already earned an exceptional reputation in the industry for the delivery of high-quality dangerous goods training. Under Fiona’s leadership, that reputation has continued to grow, with DGS remaining the trusted choice for people who prepare, load and transport dangerous goods throughout Queensland and across Australia. Boss Training Institute was established as a trading name of Dangerous Goods Services, created with a clear purpose: to deliver nationally recognised traffic control training to STM staff and to the broader industry. Fiona’s vision for BTI is to raise the standard of traffic control training in Queensland by producing safe, confident and responsible traffic controllers who are genuinely ready for the demands of working in and around live traffic.
